Terms and Conditions

This document is published in compliance of and shall be governed by Indian law, including but not limited to (i) The Indian Contract Act, 1872; (ii) The Information Technology Act, 2000, the rules, regulations, guidelines and clarifications framed thereunder including the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices And Procedures And Sensitive Personal Information) Rules, 2011, and the provisions of rule 3 (1) of the Information Technology (Intermediaries Guidelines) Rules, 2011; (iii) The Payment And Settlement Systems Act, 2007 and applicable rules, regulations and guidelines made thereunder; and (iv) Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934 and the applicable rules, regulations and guidelines made thereunder.

This document is an electronic record in the form of an electronic contract formed under Information Technology Act, 2000 and rules made thereunder and the amended provisions pertaining to electronic documents / records in various statutes as amended by the Information Technology Act, 2000. This agreement does not require any physical, electronic or digital signature.

This agreement is a legally binding document between you and Balancehero India Private Limited. The terms of this document will be effective upon your acceptance of the same (in electronic form or by means of an electronic record or other means) and will govern the relationship between you and Truebalance for the use of Truebalance services.

  • For the purpose of these Terms of Use, wherever the context so requires-
    • “You/Your”, “Customer” or "User" shall mean any natural or legal person who has registered with Truebalance and who has accepted these Terms of Use.
    • "We", "Us", "Our", “Truebalance” shall mean Balancehero India Private Limited.
    • "IRCTC" shall mean Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation.
  • These terms and conditions ("T&C") and all applicable T&C issued by IRCTC govern your rights and obligations as a Customer for the train tickets purchased from IRCTC via Truebalance mobile application.
  • Your access to and use of the Truebalance mobile application and the Truebalance services are conditional upon your acceptance of and continuous compliance with these T&C at all times.
  • Truebalance app offers functionality to: -
  1. Book trains - Travelers can search and book trains.
  2. PNR status - Updated PNR status such as waitlisted, confirmed, RAC etc: can be viewed on the app by using PNR status tab.
  3. Cancel tickets – Travellers can cancel some or all booked tickets.
  • You acknowledge that Truebalance acts in facilitating booking of railways tickets and therefore, neither influences nor controls the scheduling/re-scheduling, cancellations or other changes to the delivery timelines or other related aspects of the railway tickets on offer. Truebalance shall not be deemed responsible/liable for any delay, inaccuracy, schedule change, update, cancellation, lack or deficiency of services provided by the IRCTC.
  • Meal and berth preferences are available however final confirmation is up to the IRCTC for the assignment.

  • Only e-tickets can be booked through the Truebalance app, it does not support I tickets (Paper tickets).
  • You can book a maximum of 6 seats/berths in one booking.

  • Photo Id proofs accepted by IRCTC are as follows, passengers not carrying a valid Id's may get denied boarding the train or may be asked to de-board at any station by concerned railway authorities:-
  1. Valid Passport
  2. Voter photo identity card
  3. Driving License issued by RTO
  4. Pan Card
  5. Photo Identity card having serial number issued by Central / State Government
  6. Student Identity Card with photograph issued by recognized School/College for their students
  7. Aadhaar card
  8. Photo identity cards having serial number issued by public sector Undertakings of State/Central Government, District Administrations, Municipal bodies and Panchayat Administrations
  9. For Non-Indians, their Country's Passport will constitute sole authorized ID
  10. Ration card will be accepted as proof of identity for undertaking journey under Tatkal scheme only if the passenger whose photograph is available on the ration card is travelling
  • Seat/berth allotment is done by IRCTC based on their allocation logic after booking confirmation, Truebalance does not guarantee allotment of preferred seat/berth.
  • Components of the fare are described below
  1. Base Fare
  2. Reservation Charges by railways
  3. Superfast Charges (if applicable)
  4. Any other charges, as specified by Railways
  5. Any Concession/Discounts (if applicable)
  6. Tatkal Charges (where ever applicable)
  7. IRCTC Service Charges
  8. TB Charges

  • TB, at its sole discretion, may provide certain additional services to you, such as SMS/emails/calls/train status check/PNR status check, upgrades, timings, schedules etc. You hereby acknowledge that such additional services are provided at Truebalance discretion and without any warranty or assurance regarding correctness, accuracy or reliability of such additional services
  • IRCTC may offer special concessions/discounts for senior citizens, female passengers and children, the amount or extent of concession is not decided by TB, all customers are advised to check latest IRCTC policies for active/applicable discounts
  • Train functionality on Truebalance app will not be functional between 23:45 hours to 00:30 hours due to system downtime at IRCTC’s end, further passengers will not be able to book non tatkal tickets between 08:00 am to 08:30 am for general classes, from 10:00 am to 10:30 am for Tatkal AC classes, and from 11:00 am to 11:30 am for Tatkal non-AC classes
  • Passengers are required to remember their IRCTC user name and password in order to book trains on Truebalance app.
  • Travelers must carry their e-ticket at the boarding, failing which IRCTC authorities may charge applicable fees for issuing a copy of ticket.

  • Passengers with a confirmed e-ticket are permitted to board the train. Their names will appear on the boarding chart. Final booking status such as confirmed/RAC with the names of passengers will appear on the boarding chart. Waitlisted bookings/PNR's will not be listed on the boarding chart, existing IRCTC rules will apply if fully waitlisted travellers are found traveling.
  • The bookings made on Truebalance app are subject to cancellation charges levied by the Indian Railways. It may vary depending on the cancellation time and booking quota (tatkal/ general/ ladies/ premium)
  • IRCTC automatically cancels the fully waitlisted e-tickets after chart preparation. The refund in such cases gets automatically credited to your bank account used for booking such tickets after deduction of Truebalance handling charges
  • Cancellation of booked tickets can be done from the Truebalance app. Refund amount shall be processed and will be credited to your account in 7-14 working days from the date of cancellation.
